(First published 16.12.16) HAMILTON-C6 addedOne of these parameters is the tidal volume per kilogram of ideal body weight (VT/IBW). A minimum value can be set and if the measured value drops below this minimum, the SBT will be aborted.
VT/IBW (ml/kg) is both a To start SBT and a To stop SBT parameter. You can configure:
a) The minimum VT/IBW allowed before starting an SBT (the default To start value is ≥ 5)
b) An absolute low limit that it cannot fall below during an SBT (the default To stop value is < 5).
Both values can be set under: Configuration > Quick Wean > To start SBT window (see Figure 1 below).
