As part of our sustainability strategy, we are phasing out one of our sensors containing lead.
Go green with our lead-free oxygen sensors!

With the introduction of two lead-free sensors last year, all models of Hamilton Medical ventilators can now be operated using lead-free sensors instead of sensors containing lead. For all medical devices placed on EU markets as of July 22, 2021, lead-free sensors are mandatory to comply with the European Parliament Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS). These new sensors are not only more sustainable and eco-friendlier, but are also based on new technology that significantly increases the sensor’s lifetime.

We are therefore phasing out the sensor containing lead used for HAMILTON-G5/S1, GALILEO, and RAPHAEL ventilators (PN 396008), which will be discontinued in those markets requiring CE Marking as of May. Instead of this sensor, you can now order the lead-free sensor PN 10110239 (Not available for GALILEO and RAPHAEL ventilatorsA). For devices placed on the market prior to July 2021, an alternative sensor containing lead is also still available (PN 396009). Please contact your local Hamilton Medical representative for more information.
