When using the Quick Wean and Spontaneous Breathing Trial (SBT) function, there are several To stop parameters. These can be configured so that the SBT is automatically aborted if certain criteria are not met.
VT/IBW is a To stop criterion for SBT

VT/IBW is both start and stop parameter

One of these parameters is the tidal volume per kilogram of ideal body weight (VT/IBW).  A minimum value can be set and if the measured value drops below this minimum, the SBT will be aborted.

VT/IBW (ml/kg) is both a To start SBT and a To stop SBT parameter. You can configure:
a)  The minimum VT/IBW allowed before starting an SBT (the default To start value is ≥ 5)
b)  An absolute low limit that it cannot fall below during an SBT (the default To stop value is < 5).

Both values can be set under:  Configuration > Quick Wean > To start SBT window (see Figure 1 below).

For more information on To start SBT and To stop SBT parameters, please see your device’s Operator’s Manual.
