The solution for your operations. OpenBLE for EMS providers

Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently can be a challenge for EMS providers, especially in high-stress situations. The introduction of electronic patient care report (ePCR) systems has improved efficiency considerably, but manual data entry is still a time-consuming process that is prone to errors, especially for complex medical information like ventilation data.

Our OpenBLE (Open Bluetooth Low Energy) protocol addresses this challenge by enabling data from your HAMILTON-T1 ventilator to be transferred directly to the ePCR system. This ensures precise documentation of the ventilation therapy, as well as streamlining workflows by eliminating manual tasks, speeding up hospital handovers, and simplifying billing. The result is enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of your EMS operations.

Near real-time and retrospective access to ventilation data within a 3-hour window. The frequency of data retrieval can be customized by your ePCR provider based on request/response.

A robust data set that includes 17 monitoring values and 19 control settings gives you a detailed overview of ventilation parameters.

Data encryption is secured using the Bluetooth JustWorks pairing mechanism, ensuring all the transmitted information has a reliable layer of protection.

What are your needs? Get in touch with us

We provide the OpenBLE interface specifications to ePCR providers free of charge, along with assistance throughout the integration and testing phases. Your ePCR provider is responsible for implementing the OpenBLE specifications within their software. Given the diversity of development frameworks and programming languages used by ePCR providers we do not provide an OpenBLE SDK. Providers should use a Bluetooth library or stack compatible with their software to integrate the OpenBLE protocol.
